THE MODERN APPROACH

With the growing demand for ‘smart’ homes, Keavy underfloor heating systems are designed to be fully integratable with complete home automation packages such as C-Bus. Wifi-connected thermostats allow homeowners to control their underfloor heating zones remotely, ensuring that their house is at a comfortable temperature as they walk in the front door.

Underfloor heating is also much more efficient, and therefore greener, than traditional heating methods. As it effectively turns the whole floor into a radiator, this large surface area means the heat dissipates slowly and evenly, and the floor surface itself retains the heat.

AMBIENT WARMTH WITH NO COLD SPOTS

Traditional heating systems such as radiators and ducts require independent installations which take up wall space and are complicated and messy to install. On top of that, the heat from a radiator, and most ducts, rises straight up the wall to the ceiling of the room, where it’s not of much use in keeping us warm. Radiators and ducts also tend to leave cold spots in a room, where the heat never quite reaches.
Underfloor heating, in contrast, heats the room from the floor up, creating an ambient warmth in the home. It is also easy and clean to install and requires no extra space as it’s built into the floor itself.
